It will come as no surprise that the children's authors Beatrix Potter (1866 - 1943) and Roald Dahl (1916-1990) both had holiday homes in gorgeous Georgian Tenby. Dahl wrote “We adored Tenby...donkey rides on the beach and long walks with the dogs along the top of the cliffs opposite Caldey Island...Easter holidays is hardly an Easter holiday without Tenby.” With glorious beaches and fine houses painted in sugared almond colours, Tenby is a pretty, cosy seaside town.
