Llyn Llydaw

King Arthur

...Merlin, Dragons & The Sword In The Stone
llyn-llydaw

There are at least three Welsh lakes that claim to contain King Arthur’s magical sword, Excalibur. The lakes of Llydaw, Dinas and Ogwen are equally beautiful, and they’re all close together in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. Sir Bedivere may well have climbed to the remote and wild Llyn Llydaw, across which Arthur sailed on his way to the Isle of Avalon. It’s possible to walk some or all of Snowdonia National Park Authority’s Miner’s Track, with fantastic views of the lake. The steep path climbs Snowdon from Pen-y-Pass Car Park.
